Eureka!

I got a couple of 2×24 LCDs on eBay a few weeks ago, and have been trying to put a simple “Hello, world!” onto them from a PIC. Not sure what the heck I’ve been doing wrong up until now, but I finally did it. Small victories

Is that an IDE cable? and what’s the hairbrush for?

It’s a floppy cable with one end cut off… Unfortunately the connectors on the LCD don’t work well with my breadboard, so this is the next best thing.

The brush is a cat brush, just there because I don’t clean my desk often
