Hi there - Hugh Munro, dirtbag recruiter here. Actually I’m a decent guy, but I sense some scepticism towards my kind in your writing. Not to worry - I still want to talk to you about a job opportunity. Besides - I found your resume on Monster so it seems you want to know about opportunities.
Question is, for the right opportunity and money, would you be interested in moving the Wife and two sons to either Edmonton or Toronto.
I’ll show you mine (the job opportunity) if you show me yours (your full resume).
Lets talk!

Hmm. Just read more deeply. You changed jobs recently. Maybe not the best time. Let me know.
March 12th, 2007 at 7:50 pmHi Sean,
This is related to a post you made in 2005:

Very useful stuff. Just wanted to point out that the “map” example you provide is destructive, it modifies @array. Probably a useful thing to mention. Couldn’t find a way to comment there.
@out = map { s/foo/bar/; $_ } @array;
Ex: perl -e ‘@a=(1,2,3,4,5);@b=map {s/(\d)/$1+1/e;$_} @a; print @a’
results in
23456
Thanks!
